Saturday miles! 7 weeks out of 10 done of the 10k training cycle. Cumulative fatigue has creeped in and you have to accept that you are not going to feel fresh like you did in the earlier weeks. Just have to put the head down and put in the work!
2 things.
On my birthday this year I took a decision to always have dog food at home and start feeding some of the dogs I meet in the morning during my run. I know what I do doesn't amount to much but it makes me happy.
I miss MotoGP! Before this pandemic I had decided that I would go and watch a race a year if I could. This was in Sepang, Malaysia in 2018. I wanted to watch @valeyellow46 ride his m1 before he retires and I am glad I did. 😊
Chasing audacious goals, working my butt off! Trying to keep my head down and put in the work, rest is all noise.
5 weeks of hard work resulting in my fastest 5k of 24:26. Blood, sweat and tears would be a great caption for this but it's just been a lot of sweat and thankfully no blood and tears till now. Thanks to my team @renaissancedp. Bunch of badasses who push me every day! This one is for them. Chanelling my inner Naruto in this pic!
Check out the entire track on @riatsumusic. This was my submission for a @nativeinstruments beat battle competition. I changed it a bit and performed it live on the Maschine.
How strong is your 'why'? Some of my friends have been asking me about how I get up every morning and stay motivated and get out there. If your objectives are going to be short term like fitting into that wedding dress before the day, looking good for an upcoming shoot, etc then it becomes super easy to get back to your old self and lose momentum. Do it for yourself, have goals that keep you motivated 24/7 and make the whole waking up early, being in uncomfortable situations and going through the pain completely worth it. If your 'why' is strong enough then nothing can stop you from pushing yourself and getting better.
I did a live version of 'What Have I Done' celebrating the 5 years of my debut EP. Check out the entire video on @riatsumusic.
