The FrogTV Archives

Most people who know me, know that I was part of the blueFROG team. I worked in Mumbai for this historic live performance venue for 6 plus years. In that time, I worked for the record label as an artist manager, occasionally programmed bands at the venue for properties like The Scene and blue FROG Metal Nights, handled online communications for the brand and last but not the least was the head of their video department, FrogTV. I quit my job in 2015 but I have made lifelong connections because of this job. People that I highly respect, appreciate and love.

blueFROG shut down in August 2016 due to a number of factors but left us with memories that we can cherish for the rest of our lives. Remember that Raul Midon gig where every person had tears in their eyes? Do you remember the Mutemath gig which was probably till date the best club gig I have ever seen in my life? I remember the Rollingstone metal awards and my debut on stage with my band Pangea. I remember going absolutely nuts watching Fernando Corona (Murcof) perform with Talvin Singh and Erik Truffaz. I can probably write an entire blog on all the different types of gigs that I have witnessed at the venue and the impact it has had musically in my life.

When blueFROG shut down, they also de-activated the google suite account which had our email IDs. FrogTV which was the Youtube channel that had all the live performances and interviews of artists also got deleted and with that the 300 videos that Sankhe, Bhate, Benjie, Royce and I worked on vanished overnight. This was undoubtedly one of the saddest moments of my life. All the hard work that we did, disappeared without warning. I did everything I could to retrieve the account. Contacted some of the management members, Youtube as well but nothing worked.

We lost the Youtube Channel FrogTV, but fortunately Sankhe had most of the videos on a hard drive and we have decided to upload them on a brand new Youtube Channel called FrogTV Archives. This channel will not be monetized. I am just so freaking happy to see all our work back online again. We haven’t uploaded all of it but there is a lot to see. Over the next few weeks all the videos should be back online. Check the above playlist for the videos that are live right now.
