My (Riatsu) interest in composing piqued during my fellowship at the Musicians’ Institute in California. I began experimenting with ambient compositions through scores for films that do not exist. I have since then created music for various visual features in the short format. Collaborations are a big part of my music. I have collaborated with visual artists and musicians and will continue to do so in all my future projects.

The Debut EP called ‘Reminiscence‘ was released in November 2016. The EP consists of 5 tracks that compliment 5 vocal pieces. Includes speeches by Jim Carey, Leonardo Dicaprio, Aaron Swartz, sections from TV series Hannibal and interrogation of a serial killer called Fred West.

During the process of creating the first EP I was still finding my sound/voice and was flooded with self-doubt. There is a monthly Beat Battle competition that takes place on the Native Instruments (software and hardware I use) forum where the admins give you a genre of music to make a track on. In April 2016 they had ‘Ambient Music‘ as the genre and I decided to participate. My entry won!

Musician’s get affected by politics at some point in their lives. This track was the result of the political scenario and the behaviour of people in November 2016. To an extent, the situation is similar in the present day.
